The history of this castle located in Saint-Martin-de-Boisy (loire) seems to go back to the 14th century. Two brothers, Humbert and Jean de Boisy, built on this land of Saint Haon according to a charter of Louis de Bourbon on 4 September 1391. Jacques Coeur acquired this property in 1446, at the height of his power, but he partially demolished what was there and had the magnificent castle that we know today rebuilt.
