Clos de Tart is an Appellation d'origine contr么l茅e (AOC) and Grand Cru vineyard for red wine in the C么te de Nuits subregion of Burgundy, with Pinot Noir as the main grape variety. It is situated in the commune of Morey-Saint-Denis in the C么te-d'Or d茅partement. Clos de Tart is located in the southern part of the commune, starts immediately west (uphill) of the village itself, and borders to the Grand Cru vineyard Bonnes Mares in the south and Clos des Lambrays in the north. The AOC was created in 1939, and the Clos part of its name refers to a wall-enclosed vineyard. Clos de Tart is a monopole, owned by Mommessin. Clos de Tart. (2012, February 16). After a few hours in Dijon, the last part of our holiday in Burgundy was going back the scenic route to Beaune via the Route des Grands Crus. The Route des Grands Crus (roughly, "road of the great wines") is the name of a tourist route situated in Burgundy, France. The approximately 60-kilometre route runs along the foot of the C么te d'Or escarpment, from Dijon in the north to Santenay in the south. Thus it runs through many of the great appellations of Burgundy wine, hence the name of the route. It takes the visitor through the vineyards of the C么te de Nuits and the C么te de Beaune and the back hills (Hautes-C么tes) behind and above the wine slopes. It is punctuated by 33 villages or little towns, including Beaune, many of which have picturesque churches. Morey-Saint-Denis Morey-Saint-Denis is a commune in the C么te-d'Or department in eastern France. Morey-Saint-Denis is situated in the Northern section of the C么te d'Or called C么te de Nuits. It is one of the principal wine producing villages of the region. Within Morey-Saint-Denis there are five Grand Cru appellations and 20 Premier Cru vineyards. The Bonnes Mares appellation straddles the border between Morey-Saint-Denis and Chambolle-Musigny and therefore can be produced in either commune. Place du Monument Domaine Louis Remy near Rue Haute
