Fontainejean is 2 km east of Saint-Maurice-sur-Aveyron, Loiret, Centre region, France. Paved watersplash (ford) over the Aveyron river. Stepping stones were placed on the side of the ford. But here it is much easier to walk across the old café's terrace, where the pic is taken from. A few hundred meters downstream were found a neolithic blade, and a gallo-roman acqueduc and thermae, the latter covering over 1 ha (2.5 acres).
