Vue de la tour du Beffroi de style flamand par la tranche, et du bâtiment attenant. Il est construit en brique d'un rouge foncé comme la majorité des édifices de la région des Flandres, mais aussi des Paus-Bas ou du Nord-Ouest de l'Allemagne (Hildesheim par exemple). Le ciel est gris et nuageux comme souvent ici, où comme le dit Brel les cathédrales sont les uniques montagnes, et celle-ci crève le ciel de son clocher.
