CP photo A.R / la 45emeDI (VIeme armée) avec deux brigades de deux régiments de marche chacune, représentant 12 bataillons : 9 de zouaves et 3 de tirailleurs indigènes. la 45e Division Indigéne est mobilisée dans la 19e région : Algérie, Tunisie. 6 au 3 septembre: combats de la Marne, la DI participe à la bataille de l'Ourcq (combats de Penchard le 6 au prix de pertes sévères puis Neufmontier, Barcy, Chambry, Longpont, Chaudun).

Cp photo AR Corps de Cavalerie du Général Sordet qui contenait 18 régiments de cavalerie, renforcés de cyclistes et d’artillerie (soit le 5,6,9 ,19,21,23 et 29eme pour les dragons), Parti le 2 aout , ce corps est passé du Luxembourg à la province de Liège, puis dans la province de Namur, dans le Brabant, vers le Hainaut et enfin effectuer une retraite jusqu’à Paris, sans laisser de répit aux hommes et aux chevaux. Il vient en renfort à la VIeme armée lors de la bataille de la Marne et de L'ourcq épuisée, son efficacité fut critiquée.
