14th-century bas-relief at the north wall of the choir with scenes from the life of St. Eustace. The lower panel presents the Roman general Placidus riding while hunting a stag. Then having a vision of a cross between antlers he kneels down and listens to the prophesy about his coming misfortunes. After his baptism he takes the name Eustace and emigrates to Egypt with his family where his two sons were taken by wild animals. The upper panel shows him in his pain when this happens with a wolf on the right and a lion on the left. At the top he is to be seen as a Roman horseman.
