Port-Sainte-Marie is a commune in the Lot-et-Garonne department in south-western France. Historically recognized Notre-Dame Church is located there. The church was founded in the 11th or 12th century. The place have experienced a notable turmoil during the Protestant army march in 1569-1570 (the city is taken and the church damaged) while the Protestant army (led by the Prince of Navarre the Prince de Condé and Admiral Coligny) wanted to cross the Garonne.
