View towards the south-east. It is thought that, prior to the formation, during the Pliocene period or even more recently, of the Capcir demi-graben (through which the Aude river now flows northwards), rivers descending from the north-west (today the Rieutort (or Cirerol), the Galbe (or Galba) and Lladura rivers) flowed south-east into Conflent, via (respectively) the cols of Sansa, Creu and Torn.
