The road on top of the dam is the D156b road from Chambon (Gard departement, region Languedoc-Roussillon) to Malbosc (Ardèche departement, region Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes); this road becomes the D52 as it crosses over the dam and enters the Ardèche departement (in the middle of the dam).
