Jujols (France) village (bottom left) and its reservoir (centre). In 1990, a major project was undertaken. It involved the construction of a reservoir above the village and a vast irrigation network to capture spring rainwater and redistribute it, for irrigation, during the summer. The reservoir is located about one kilometre northwest of Jujols, and about 200 metres higher than the village.

Jujols, Conflent and the Têt valley, Pyrénées-Orientales (66).The village is perched on a mountainside, 400 metres above the Têt valley. Jujols is located in a zone of Cambro-Ordovician schists about 500 million years old. The schist has been used in the construction of many buildings in the village.
