Le bassin de Tarerach dans le massif granitique de Millas. Les produits de l'altération chimique et mécanique du granit ici (saprolite à grains fins et grus à gros grains) recouvrent une partie de ce bassin. Ils ont rendu la terre apte à la culture. Le Roc del Moro en haut à droite; le Canigou au fond.

Tarerach lies at an altitude of 520 metres, in a zone underlain by Hercynian granite. The topographic basin within which Tarerach is situated, and the tor on the ridge above (the Roc del Moro ridge) are typical features of this extensive granite massif.
